Balance is key to insuring a solid strike of the ball. Develop a plan to work on your balance from the bottom up - ankles to knees to hips to spine. You can work on balance by standing on a balance disc or lying on a foam roll while watching a little CNN. Improving your balance means you will be in position to push off with the correct foot to get you going in the direction you want to go - quickly.
